A thank-you from Emily for the flowers sent
from WINR
to her for her birthday and Christmas 2008:
Dear WINRs -
Thank you so very much for the lovely poinsettia. There must be a couple of dozen blooms and they are so beautiful. You have really dressed up my room for the holidays! Your thoughtfulness is so appreciated & I wish each of you happy holidays!
Best wishes,
Emily Garrett
A thank-you from Emily Garrett, for the flowers and cards sent while she was ill in the hospital, summer 2008:
Dear WINRs,
Thank you for the beautiful flower arrangement. Each flower is perfect, and together, they are magnificent - just as each of you are unique and special, and together you are strong and full of promise as you support each other in fulfilling your dreams.
The cards you have sent me continue to bring me joy and a sense of pride in knowing that my efforts long ago are contributing to your experience in the WINR program.
Thank you for your thoughtfulness and graciousness - and for brightening my days with such lovely cards and notes.
All the best to each of you.

A thank-you from Emily for the flowers and cards sent to her for Christmas, 2007:
"I was totally overwhelmed by the messages on the cards, and by the lovely poinsettia!!!!! Thank you seems completely inadequate! I wish I knew words to express my appreciation. Creating the program was probably the best thing I have ever done, and it is such a thrill to know the program is alive, improved, and expanded to all the campuses. Thank you for making my Christmas very special.
Love and appreciation!!!"
